On March 9, Columbia University will present a unique performance by Gaël Faye, author and musician nominated for the 2021 Victoires de la Musique.

Gaël Faye is an author, songwriter and hip-hop artist. He released his first solo album in 2013, with his first novel Petit Pays which won the Prix Goncourt des Lycéens in 2016. Born in 1982 in Burundi to a French father and Rwandan mother, Faye moved with his family to France in 1995 after the outbreak of the civil war and Rwandan genocide. His last album, Lundi Méchant, is nominated for the next Victoires de la Musique.
