M. Eric Woerth is appointed Minister of Labour, Solidarity and the Civil Service.
M. François Baroin is appointed Minister for the Budget, Public Accounts and Administrative Reform.
M. Marc-Philippe Daubresse is appointed Minister for Youth and Active Solidairty.
M. Georges Tron is appointed Minister of State responsible for the Civil Service, attached to the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and the Civil Service.
M. Xavier Darcos will shortly be called upon to take on other responsibilities.
M. Martin Hirsch steps down from his duties as High Commissionor for Active Solidarity against Poverty, High Commissioner for Youth. He will be appointed Head of the Civic Service Agency (1)./.
(1) This new agency will be responsible for France’s voluntary civic service, giving youngsters from all educational, socio-economic, cultural or geographical backgrounds the opportunity to work for 6-12 months in voluntary organizations, NGOs, etc., in tasks which must be philanthropic, educational, environmental, scientific, social, humanitarian, sports or family-related or contribute to increasing awareness of what it means to be a French and European citizen.
