Paris, 4, June 2010
Bernard Kouchner will meet William Hague, British Foreign Secretary, for a working dinner on 6 June.
A few days away from President Sarkozy’s visit to London on 18 June, this first visit by William Hague to one of his European partners will be an opportunity for the two ministers to talk about the major European and international issues following the initial contacts already established since his appointment.
They will in particular discuss the Middle East situation, including the peace process and Iranian nuclear issue. They will also talk about security matters and Franco-British cooperation in Afghanistan and Africa. Finally, they will take stock of the preparation for the forthcoming G8 and G20 meetings and the main European issues, including the setting-up of the European External Action Service./.
