The French President called President Barack Obama to congratulate him personally on his re-election as President of the United States of America.

President Hollande emphasized the importance of President Obama’s victory for relations between the United States and France, but also Europe.

President Hollande and President Obama agreed to work even more intensively together, particularly in order to promote economic growth, fight unemployment and resolve the main international crises.

They tasked their teams with stepping up exchanges and examining ways to give new momentum to bilateral cooperation on all issues of common interest./.
