Ukraine

We worked all day. It was the first time since the beginning of the Ukraine crisis that we’d all met – Mr Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, Mr Kerry for the United States, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, our European partners and myself.

There was an agreement to continue the negotiations. It’s not over. The situation isn’t easy. But we’re happy that today in Paris, for the first time, it was possible to start something.

We agreed to try and find a peaceful solution in the coming days enabling the crisis to be resolved. In Rome tomorrow we’re going to continue talking about all this, and also in Brussels of course. We’re going to continue in the coming days.

For the first time, on the basis of this Paris meeting, there was some movement, in my opinion./.
