Apply now for a Tournées Film Festival grant to fund a French film festival on your campus!

The Tournées Film Festival, a program of the French American Cultural Exchange (FACE Foundation) and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, supports American colleges and university campuses in organizing their own French film festivals. Professors, departments, student organizations, film clubs, or other university-affiliated institutions are eligible to apply.

The applications for the 22nd season of Tournées Film Festival are now open! You can submit your application here.

Tournées Film Festival offers the best of contemporary and classic French films recently released in the U.S. with a wide variety of genres.

The program 2017-2018 Tournées Film Festival offers a wide variety of films that represent the best of French cinema distributed in the U.S., including acclaimed filmmakers (Alain Guiraudie, François Ozon, André Téchiné) and new talents that recently emerged on the international scene (Mia Hansen-Løve, Claude Barras). This year’s selection also highlights France’s strength at building fruitful collaborations with filmmakers all over the world. Among our selection are films that have been produced or co-produced by France and created by filmmakers from Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium (including Albert Serra, Paul Verhoeven and Chantal Akerman).

To be eligible for a grant, you must be affiliated with an American college or university with nonprofit status. Candidates must plan to show the films as part of a festival consisting of a minimum of six films, and the screenings must take place within a six-week period. The films may be presented as part of a larger film festival. Candidates are eligible to receive the Tournées Film Festival grant for a maximum of five consecutive years, but they must reapply each year. After five consecutive years, there will be a hiatus of one year.

The deadline to apply for the 2017-2018 academic year is May 26, 2017.

Information regarding program guidelines can be found on the Tournées Film Festival website and you can download the brochure in PDF on this link: Tournées Film Festival brochure.
