For its season premiere, the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra will be joined by Vincent Beer-Demander who will play Lalo Schifrin’s Mandolin Concert. Following the concerto, the Mid-Atlantic Symphony will perform Nicolas Mazmanian’s Mission Impossible Variations. The concert will conclude with a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7.

Vincent Beer-Demander, Soloist, Mandolin
Vincent Beer-Demander (born in 1982) has won many awards from prestigious Conservatoires in France and Italy. A regular collaborator of many international orchestras, he plays as a soloist as well as in chamber music groups.
As a professor at the National Conservatory of Marseille in France, the Royal Conservatory of Liège in Belgium, he is regularly called upon to give master-classes. Also a composer, he has produced a vast array of pieces which have been published by the Oz musical library (Canada), Mundoplectro (Spain), Trekel (Germany) & Hody (France).

Julien Benichou, Music Director
As Music Director of both the Mid-Atlantic Symphony and Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra, Julien Benichou is noted for his powerfully vivid, graceful, and sensitive conducting.
He was also appointed Principal Conductor of the Washington Opera Society and Music Director of the Southern Maryland Youth Orchestra.
